Dreamers
oil on canvas, 28 × 22, 2025
“When we face our wounds, we will finally understand where we have always longed to be - in a dream where the difficult edges of our being never erode, but float safely through deep, transparent water. It's like returning to a time when we were smaller, sotter, and wrapped in warmth, surrounded by the faint memories of being loved in every way.”
Dreamers renders one of the artist’s most treasured memories through pointillist mark-making. In this pool, during a meaningful moment shared with those closest to her, the artist experienced the mutual exchange of pain, healing, and understanding. The work portrays figures who long for a childhood defined by unconditional love and the absence of fear or worry.
