This sculpture takes on an UFO-like form and is made from repurposed hair dryer parts. Circular buttons of varying sizes, beads, and embroidery thread function as visual elements that express the artist’s accumulated desire for connection and to be understood by others. As fragments of an ordinary, functional object are reassembled into something unfamiliar and unclassifiable, the work evokes both a longing for contact and the emotional distance that can never be fully resolved.
